I’ve been using the sql server truncate date function for over a year now, and it’s still working fine. I’m having a lot of fun watching it work, and I’ve learned a lot about how it works.
So far Ive been very impressed with the way that sql server truncate date works. It works well when you want to do date math, but it also works well when you want to truncate the date. It is easy to use, and very simple to understand.
For example, if you want to truncate the date to the next day, just add a where clause that specifies a desired start date and an end date. The where clause can be a simple where condition (“from” or “until”) or a more complex logic that specifies a start date AND an end date. You can also truncate a date to the next year, or to the next month.
You can also truncate a value to the next number of characters. For example, you can truncate a date to the next two numbers, like today’s date is 20/08/2016.
The key to using truncate is to set the start and end date to be the same. That way, the date will be truncated to the next day and not changed.
sql server uses four datatypes for dates: datetime, time, date, and datetime2. Datetime and time are the default types, and are used to represent the past and future, respectively.The second datatype is date, which is used to represent a date in the future. You can use that to specify an exact date that you want to truncate.
So why do we use datetime and not datetime2 or datetime? Because truncate uses that default type to truncate the date, but truncate uses datetime to truncate the date to the next day. The default datatype for truncate is datetime, which is used by all SQL Server databases.
The SQL Server database standard is to always assume datetime is an exact date, but for truncate it is to always assume datetime2 is an exact date. If you change the default datatype, then the truncate function will throw an error: “An invalid datetime value was specified.
If you have SQL Server running, you can simply go to the sql server management tools and change the default datatype to datetime2. By doing this, you will be guaranteed that truncate will always truncate the date to the next day. This will make the truncate function work better with you SQL Server database.
